Chris Stressman
Arranger / Producer/ Clinician/ Musician

Chris has played with some of the biggest names in Christian music, including Fred Hammond, Carman, Third Day, Jaci Velasquez, Sheila E. and Natalie Grant. His brand of rock/pop horn writing has also been featured on stages across America in the Carman: Heart of a Champion World Tour and Live DVD as well as the Jaci Valesquez Crystal Clear Tour. Chris got his start in Christian music playing trumpet with TRUTH, the hardest working band in America. After becoming Music Director, he realized his true passion lay in writing and arranging. After moving to Nashville in 1998, he became active as both a producer and studio musician. His credits include custom recording projects, commercial jingles as well as live TV events.

Chris draws on a wide range of playing and writing experiences, and is equally at home writing for a sixty-piece orchestra or jazz trio.

He is Staff Arranger for the 12,000 member First Baptist Church of Ft. Lauderdale and remains active as a guest clinician, free-lance arranger and sometimes trumpet player. Theses days he prefers piano.

Chris is married to the beautiful and talented Jackie and spends his free time teaching Franki (4) how to program drum loops in Reason and trying to keep Judah (8 months) from falling over.
